minicom-1.78-s + lrzsz-0.12.16 X, Y, Zmodem protocols + modemu.
Compiled for a linux libc5 elf system, source included. (2-29-98)

This verion of minicom-1.78 has the additional 'histsearch' feature,
described in doc/HistSearch, and a few changes, it no longer gives
a warning when started without the -s switch, it goes right into
terminal mode.
There are also other additions to minicom-1.78, read /doc/Readme.jl
for info on them.
Color in on by default, to start minicom up in mono mode,
do this.> ~# minicom -c off <-Turn off color.)
You can put this in the /etc/profile file to turn color off.
export MINICOM="-c off"
All minicom defaults can be changed by starting minicom
this way.> ~# minicom -s (Then.> [save setup as dfl]
To Install minicom, runscript, lrz, lsz, modemu, man pages, all...
minicom-1.78-s/linux# INSTALL-MINI <-Run script to install all.)
You can look at INSTALL-MINI to see where things will be installed.
/usr/bin/minicom runscript ascii-xfr xminicom modemu lrz lsz mtelnet
/etc/minirc.dfl minicom.users
Minicom can be run in X windows...# startx (Then.> # xminicom
If you want to compile minicom do this.
You need libncurses to compile minicom.
minicom-1.78-s/src# make
# make install
Modemu is a program that will allow you to use minicom over a
telnet connection, after you're slip/ppp connected.
~# mtelnet <-Use minicom over telnet.)
atdt"bbs.foo.com (Or.> atdt"206.114.97.65
Login to telnet host, download something using zmodem etc.
Close connection with telnet host.
NO CARRIER
Press: Alt-Q [Suspend without reset?] = Yes
