  <title>Outras persoas non poden reproducir os vídeos que eu creo</title>

  <p>Se vostede fixo un vídeo no seu computador Linux e envioullo a alguén que usa Windows ou Mac OS, pode atopar problemas ao reproducir o vídeo.</p>

  <p>Para poder reproducir o seu vídeo a persoa á que llo enviou debe instalar os <em>codecs</em> axeitados. Un códec é un programa que sabe como tratar un vídeo e mostrarllo na pantalla. Hai moitos formatos de vídeo diferentes e cada un require un códec diferente para poder reproducilo.</p>

      <p>Abra as <app>Preferencias</app> desde a vista de <gui xref="shell-introduction#activities">Actividades</gui>.</p>

      which <gui>Codec</gui> are listed under <gui>Video</gui> and
      <gui>Audio</gui> (if the video also has audio).</p>

  <p>Ask the person having problems with playback if they have the right codec
  installed. They may find it helpful to search the web for the name of the
  codec plus the name of their video playback application. For example, if your
  video uses the <em>Theora</em> format and you have a friend using Windows
  Media Player to try and watch it, search for “theora windows media player”.
  You will often be able to download the right codec for free if it’s not
  installed.</p>

  <p>Se non pode encontrar o códec axeitado, ténteo co reprodutor multimedia <link href="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/">VLC</link>. Funciona en Windows, Mac OS y Linux, e permite unha grande cantidade de formatos de vídeo diferentes. De non ser así, tente converter o vídeo nun formato diferente. A maioría dos editores de vídeo son capaces de facer isto e os aplicativos específicos de converter vídeo están dispoñíbeis. Comprobe o aplicativo de instalación de software para ver o que está dispoñíbel.</p>

    <p>Hai algúns problemas máis, que poden evitar que alguén reproduza o vídeo. O vídeo podería terse danado cando se enviou (a veces os ficheiros grandes non se copian á perfección), pode haber problemas co seu aplicativo de reprodución de vídeo ou o vídeo pode non terse creado correctamente (poderían terse producido algúns erros no momento de gardar o vídeo).</p>
