  <title>Criar uma conexão com um endereço IP fixa</title>

  <p>A maioria das redes atribuem automaticamente uma <link xref="net-what-is-ip-address">direção IP</link> e outros detalhes à computador quando se liga à rede. Estes detalhes podem mudar a cada verdadeiro tempo, mas pode querer ter um endereço IP fixa na computador, para saber sempre que direção tem (por exemplo, se é um servidor de ficheiros).</p>

    <title>Para dar o seu computador um endereço IP fixa (estática):</title>

      <p>Abra a vista de <gui xref="shell-introduction#activities">Atividades</gui> e comece a escrever <gui>Rede</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Carregue em <gui>Rede</gui> para abrir o painel.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>In the left pane, select the network connection that you want to have
      a fixed address. If you plug in to the network with a cable, click
      <gui>Wired</gui>, then click the
      <media its:translate="no" type="image" src="figures/emblem-system.png"><span its:translate="yes">settings</span></media> button in the lower right corner of
      the panel. For a <gui>Wi-Fi</gui> connection, the 
      <media its:translate="no" type="image" src="figures/emblem-system.png"><span its:translate="yes">settings</span></media>
      button will be located next to the active network.</p>

      <p>Click on <gui>IPv4</gui> or <gui>IPv6</gui> in the left pane
      and change the <gui>Addresses</gui> to <em>Manual</em>.</p>

      <p>Type in the <gui xref="net-what-is-ip-address">IP Address</gui> and
      <gui>Gateway</gui>, as well as the appropriate <gui>Netmask</gui>.</p>

      <p>Na seção <gui>DNS</gui> mude <gui>Automático</gui> a <gui>Apagado</gui>. Introduza o endereço IP dos servidores DNS que quer usar. Introduza direções de servidores DNS adicionais utilizando o botão <gui>+</gui>.</p>

      <p>Na seção <gui>Rotas</gui>, mude a opção a opção <gui>Automático</gui> a <gui>Apagado</gui> . Introduza a <gui>Direção</gui>, a <gui>Máscara de rede</gui>, a <gui>Porta de ligação</gui> e a <gui>Métrica</gui> para a caminho que queira usar. Pode acrescentar mais caminhos utilizando o botão <gui>+</gui>.</p>

      <p>Carregue <gui>Aplicar</gui>. A conexão de rede deveria ter agora uma direção IP fixa.</p>
