  <title>Adresse MAC</title>

  <p>Une <em>adresse MAC</em> est un identifiant unique attribué à chaque périphérique réseau (comme une carte Wifi ou Ethernet) par le fabricant. MAC signifie <em>Media Access Control</em> et chaque identifiant est unique à chaque périphérique.</p>

  <p>Une adresse MAC se compose de six groupes de deux caractères chacun, séparés par deux points. Voici un exemple d'adresse MAC : <code>00:1B:44:11:3A:B7</code>.</p>

  <p>Pour identifier l'adresse MAC de votre périphérique réseau :</p>

      button to see the MAC address for the wireless device displayed as the
      <gui>Hardware Address</gui> in the <gui>Details</gui> panel.</p>

  <p>In practice, you may need to modify or “spoof” a MAC address. For example,
  some internet service providers may require that a specific MAC address be
  used to access their service. If the network card stops working, and you need
  to swap a new card in, the service won’t work anymore. In such cases, you
  would need to spoof the MAC address.</p>
