1)  Do "make depend" if necessary

2)  "make check"!!!

3)  Use "git log" to assemble release notes.

4)  Run "(cd po; make e2fsprogs.pot-update)" to update the translation template.

5)  Update files which contain version information
	version.h
	README
	RELEASE-NOTES
	e2fsprogs.lsm
	e2fsprogs.spec
	doc/libext2fs.texinfo (three places)

6)  Make source distribution

7)  Adjust sizes in e2fsprogs-VER.lsm; rebuild source files; rebuild RPM files
